awake

verb: to cease sleeping
to become aroused or active again
to become conscious or aware of something <awoke to the possibilities>
I feel like I just came awake myself.  Having pneumonia is like walking around in a fog, especially when you still have to be the Mom, chef and chief bottle washer!  This week I have been trying my hardest to get my 2011 Summer Road Trip album completed.  However, when you do a bunch of pages all in one day - you start to get boring and they all start to resemble each other.  So, I'm going at it more slowly but daily.  As soon as this one is complete and uploaded to Shutterfly then it's all 2011 in Review all the time until done.  I can't wait to get this Road Trip album in hand - it holds so many great memories and going through it will get the kiddos pumped for this year's trip.
Here's the Title Page for this album - I may change the papers but for now here it is.  Enjoy, Kim

rest

verb:  to refrain from labor or exertion,  to be in a state of sleep <the patient is currently resting, but as soon as he awakes, I'll tell him you called>

That's what has been going on around here.  Both me and the little guy are trying to get some rest.  I'm pretty sure it's pneumonia but after we go to the doctor (again) today we'll see.  Meanwhile, being home sick and in bed makes me dream of vacation.   Here's a page from one of our favorite stops on the crazy road trip that was last summer.  The Caribe Orlando.  So beautiful, so BIG, so relaxing.  Here's hoping everyone feels better soon.  Enjoy, Kim

One of my goals this year is to keep up with scrapbooking the events of our daily lives (not just big vacations and birthdays!).  This morning was the first term honors breakfasts for the sixth grade.  Cassie made Principal's List (straight A's).  We are so proud of her.  As much as she hates to admit it she is a lot like her big sister Marissa:)  Enjoy, Kim

When the girlies where little we never went to Epcot.  I just figured it was something they could miss.  The one time we did go it was to the priness breakfast in Norway.  The first time we went to Disney with T we went with friends of ours who were true Dis addicts.  We went to Epcot and it became T's favorite park!  Now it's on our 'not to be missed' list.  Our favorite restaurant is Teppan Edo in Japan.  Our favorite ride is Test Track.  Our favorite show is Illuminations.  My personal favorite photo op is the shark's mouth at the end of the Finding Nemo Living with the Seas ride.  T quite enjoyed himself even if the girls wouldn't wait in line to take the pic.  Enjoy, Kim

This is probably my favorite layout.  We were walking through Hollywood Studios and saw this setup - I got the kiddos to jump up for a pic.  This layout is from a Kim Lund kit (love her stuff!).  I have collected all sorts of free stuff since I've started scrapping.  I go to Suzzee Q's blog every day to check for free papers and kits.  I hang out at Two Peas and Mousescrappers for help with finding free kits.  I love to look through the gallery at Mousescrappers for inspiration.  I tend to be more of a picture scrapbooker (I take so many on our trips, as does both of my daughters!) so I really just collect papers and embellishments (not so many templates and frames).  Enjoy, Kim
